Last day for reservations is Monday March 9th CLICK HERE to make your reservation We meet in the Arizona Room at Sun Lakes Country Club beginning with a social hour with open bar at 5PM. Di The program begins at 7:00. The evening's entertainment will be provided by a new resident of Sun Lakes (Welcome!), Bruce Folken. Bruce is a native of Austin, MN, the home of Spam and the Spam Museum! He will tell us about his family's unique connection to Troldhaugen and the Norwegian composer of world renown, Edvard Grieg. He'll also entertain us with stories about his ancestors who emigrated from Ringebu and Bergen and how they adapted to life in the US. It was a long and winding road to get there, but in 2016, Bruce finally made his one and only visit to Norway (so far) when he visited all four family homesteads and met his cousins in Hafslo, Vestre Slidre, Ringebu and Bergen. Claiming and proving to be in the “Norwegian Phase” of his life, Bruce visited all Sons of Norway lodges in Arizona in 2018. The Annual Meeting will be called to order following the program. Officers and board members will be elected and By-Law revisions will be voted on. The meeting will conclude at 8:00. Reservations must be made by Monday, March 9th. Tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members. To make a reservation, go to scanclubsev.weebly.com or call Sue Jordan at (480)603-6015. The Scandinavian Club is charged for each reservation.
